Tell me what you want.
What you really really want!
This is the song I had to think about a couple of years ago when I decided to set up a workshop with the purpose of helping people who struggle with finding their vision in life.
Vision is quite a big word and you might relate it to things like running a business, or wanting to change the world. But in my opinion, we all need a vision for life. Something that makes us jump out of bed in the morning. Something that you just can’t help but put your energy and time in.
You might have heard of the word Ikigai. A Japanese concept that means something like “a reason for living”. Scientists argue that having or finding your Ikigai is the reason why some people in Japan get so old (while staying healthy and happy).
Personally I don’t think of life has having one purpose. Rather I see life as a playfield, without any rules, in which we are presented with endless possibilities and it’s up to us what we make out of it.
But when we don’t have a sense of direction, an understanding of who we are and a sense of contribution, we feel lost. And when we’re in that state, it’s even easier to get more lost within your own thoughts and feelings. Which will make it harder and harder to get out of it and most importantly: it will get harder and harder to feel that you are ALIVE.
Perhaps this is something you recognize? This sense of being overcome by your own thoughts and emotions, like you’re stuck in a fog and it feels difficult to simply feel joyful about the things you are, or could be doing in life.
Don’t worry. There’s nothing wrong with you. And I’m pretty sure you’re already too harsh on yourself anyway. So forcing yourself to do things, to figure it out and be perfect isn’t going to do the trick.
Instead it’s time to reconnect. Reconnect with your innate sense of joy, of aliveness. To discover or remind yourself of your beautiful talents. To explore the way in which you would like to live this life and contribute to those around while being on this ride.
The Workshop
So therefore my question is: Can you tell me what you want? What you really really want?
If yes: Amazing! What is holding you back from doing so?
If no: Amazing! Let’s go explore together.
Either way you are more than welcome in our online workshop on Wednesday the 4th of December from 6pm - 8pm on Zoom.
In this workshop we will work from the concept of Ikigai to find out: What brings me joy? What are my talents? How do I want to contribute? And what is holding me back from living my life the way I want to?
It’s a workshop packed with inspiration, exercises, visualizations and more, created to get you going again! So that you may also wake up in the morning and think “YES, I get to do another day!”.
So what will you get out of this workshop you might wonder:
-
Clarity: A clear understanding of what brings you joy, of what your talents are. A vision on how you want to move forward in life.
-
Lightness: A connection with this innate joy again. The joy that is naturally present in you but sometimes gets covered up by all the thoughts, doubts and beliefs.
-
Adventure: An exploration within yourself. A sense of excitement for life, for what's to come and the courage to take it on.
-
Ease: You're already great at being critical towards yourself and pointing out all the ways in which you think you're not doing well or enough. Instead we will approach this journey from a sense of ease, kindness towards ourselves and curiosity.

Experiences
"I feel so much clarity and joy again"
"into the unknown terrain with trust. In a mere few hours of working together I felt totally clear, totally emptied. But far from a vacuous void - rather, fertile ground for the new to take seed. I uncovered some forgotten gifts and met with a profound wisdom of which I am still integrating within my day to day."
"A purifying experience, opening up deeper layers of clarification.
Walking away with a renewed lightness in my step."
"Tessa's curiosity is contagious! I usually rather over-think things than listen to my gut feeling, sometimes I even thought I didn't have one or lost it. It's not easy for me to let thoughts pass by without judgement and to stay connected with myself instead of the other people in the room. Tessa creates such a positive, appreciative and safe atmosphere that I managed to now be more kind to myself and remain curious for the things that pop up. The healing session stimulated a process of more courage and trust. This helped me to embody Tessa's belief in our own strength and inner compass, and to tap into this at moments where I'd normally mistrust my own feelings and get stuck on opinions and thoughts."
"The retreat has been so far one of the most safe and adventurous experiences I ever made.
Safe because I felt in a super warm well facilitated space.
Adventurous because I felt opening up inside of me that space where anything is possible and indeed life can become an adventure of wonders.
...
It gave me a big deal of clarity. ... I keep having the same patience I could have for a child and I don't blame myself for going back to the old. But I can see it clearly now. Like I am observing from the outside (or the inside). It is also easier to quickly identify what is right for me and what is not: I know it sounds obvious but it wasn't for me, I stayed for hours, days, months and even years in uncomfortable situations, thinking that the sense of unease was natural and ok. And now I don't. Now I know it's bliss what I was meant for."
My Ikigai
5 Years have passed since I first hosted this workshop, and since then I have worked with this topic with almost all of my 1:1 clients. It's quite safe to say that this workshop is in fact my Ikigai.
And I simply can't wait to share it with you.
With Love,
Tessa Isabella
